What Is a Presbyterian?

Question-Presby2-264x300Have you ever heard anyone say something like “my interpretation is as good as yours” or “the Spirit told me what these verses mean.”? Are there any rules of the interpretation of Scripture that are infallible? In this third in a series called “What Is a Presbyterian,” we will look at the infallible rule of the interpretation of Scripture. We will also examine a key phrase which Presbyterians have kept in their confession of faith – “good and necessary consequence.” What does this mean? And why is it so important to a reformed understanding of Scripture? Join us for this important series.

Our Sunday morning service begins at 9:30 AM, and our Sunday school hour, where we are currently studying through the book of Revelation, begins at 11:15. If you’ve ever wondered if there is anything more to the teaching of Scripture than the popular Bible culture supplies; if you’ve always wondered what a Bible believing Presbyterian church believes; if you’re curious about a reformed theology; or if you long to hear truth preached right out of a text of Scripture, then join us – and see how the Lord blesses his word.  We meet at the facilities of New Life Church on Collierville-Arlington Road just north of Poplar.
