Why do Presbyterians baptize their children?

BabyBaptismIs it just an incomplete Reformation – a holdover from Roman Catholicism?  Or does Scripture itself demand it?  Could the Jews gathered at Pentecost have thought that Peter was saying other than that their children were to be included as God’s covenant people – and given the covenant sign – just as they always had been? Join us this Sunday as in this sixth installment of the series “What Is a Presbyterian?” we examine the challenge Peter issues at the end of the inaugural sermon of the New Testament Church in which he reveals some very crucial elements of the New Covenant that are in perfect harmony with the Old.

Our Sunday morning service begins at 9:30 AM. If you’ve ever wondered if there is anything more to the teaching of Scripture than the popular Bible culture supplies; if you’ve always wondered what a Bible believing Presbyterian church believes; if you’re curious about a reformed theology; or if you long to hear truth preached right out of a text of Scripture, then join us – and see how the Lord blesses his word.  We meet at the facilities of New Life Church on Collierville-Arlington Road just north of Poplar.

Wolf River OPC is meeting in person for worship at 10:30am each Lord's Day with Sunday School at 9:30am. All Worship services are also live streamed on YouTube
